Alex comes across well when his confidence improves with repetition he will be a marvellous trainer
I wish you designed (or maybe you have?) a specific course for people who need to interact with international students or just people whose English is not their first language. I think the language barrier (and the cultural taboos) can have an impact on the way conversations around suicide/ mental health in general are conducted. (I teach English for Academic Purposes to international students in Birmingham).
A very worthwhile course to attend, I would recommend fellow colleagues to attend this course whatever their role is - it is worth attending to be able to understand and help each other
Really really good course. Didn’t know how prevalent suicide was. Shocking. Also has given me confidence to be brave and speak to people
Great course informative, great presentation for the tutor.
It was a really helpful session - thank you so much!
Very informative and good to be able to hear so many other perspectives about the topic. I've learned a lot about how I should be approaching the situation and how I should communicate.
It was great to discuss openly + safely this topic, particularly in a group, which is a rarity with the stigma still surrounding suicide. Thank you Jade again for facilitating the session, everything was clearly explained to us.
