Shian was a great tutor, very understanding and friendly. It felt like a safe space and i felt there was no pressure to do anything you didn't feel comfortable with. Thanks Shian!!

Great course and a wonderful tutor, Shain was brilliant and she obviously has lots of experience in teaching courses. There is a limit to what we can achieve via online training. However, Shian did a brilliant jobe to lead us through the whole training

Very knowledgeable tutor with very evident experience. A presentation in keeping with the nature and seriousness of the subject.

Shian took a sensitive and challenging topic and normalized it. It was easy to practice the valuable skills to increase my confidence to support someone in need of this intervention. Shian was very open to feedback and encouraged interaction. I really enjoyed this course. I wanted to give it a full 5*. I needed more cultural awareness about non-Eurocentric views of suicide and the language they may use when expressing suicidal thoughts.

An informative day on a very sensitive subject which was managed incredibly well by Shian, thankful for her mindfulness to everyone whilst also ensuring the course was well explained and understood by all. A lovely balance between powerpoint and interactive activities which helps to keep everyone involved and in the moment.

Shian was a great tutor. She was sensitive and explained things well and gave plenty of opportunity for people to Increased my knowledge of local resources Would now feel more confident speaking to someone who may be having suicidal thoughts and what steps I can take

Whilst the video was informative, the idea that the resources would be available to support the person was a little unrealistic, especially with regards to Mental health services locally and services in general are stretched.
