Really enjoyed todays course, this isn’t always an easy topic to discuss but I feel more confident after todays session. Great content and tutor.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this training day and I feel I will definitely be implementing the things I have learnt in my calls. it has enabled me to see the patients from a different point of view. It has given me more confidence with regards to talking to people in these situations.

Really good to be aware of from both managerial aspects and for patient care in the community. Good to know about firearms and suicide also as did not know this and good to know what to say to GP services when you have a patient requiring help and support.

Single most memorable and important thing is to specifically and directly ask the person if they are thinking about suicide.

While the topic can be disturbing, Jane was able to speak to everyone in a way that was very approachable. Everyone seemed to feel comfortable to contribute here and there. Personally, I think any conversation with Jane would be extremely interesting and insightful, and would love to have a cup of coffee with her one day :-)
