Good course that has made me more confident in dealing with a potential suicide incident, hopefully never to be used.

Great format and materials. Really good advice and lots of time taken on the preparation, recognising, and asking, which I felt is the biggest hurdle to overcome

I enjoyed this course although it still feels like it would be an awkward conversation. I feel I would be more confident in how to approach the situation.

Steve has been fantastic to listen to, I have learnt a great deal from this and feel it is has been extremely useful to have. As the Mental Health Triage team leader for Dorset Mind, I believe this should be part of the mandatory training as it will help my practitioners to be more confident having these conversations with patients. Thank you for this. My only bad comment would be, it should be asked if everyone is comfortable with role-playing and happy to continue. Often when providing mental health training, people joining have their own mental health issues and it can cause a lot anxiety. It would have been better for Steve to say, is anyone willing to volunteer to role play with me now? Usually at least one person would come forward.
