Not a comfortable subject but I have learned a lot, including about myself and my own behaviours and thoughts around how I go about dealing with people, should this occur.

Great mix of learning styles: discussion, listening, answering direct questions, video, scenarios. Really good to follow and lots of information to take away.

Useful training session that helped to understand what to look out for, signs and how to deal with someone who may be considering suicide or is suiciding. Useful to understand how many people are indirectly affected by suicide as well as those directly and emotionally impacted. Useful video to demonstrate the sort of questions you may ask to support someone who is considering suicide as this in reality would likely be quite a difficult conversation. Interesting to understand correct language to use not to stigmitise suicide as i would not have been aware of this without the training.

The course was pitched well and contained a lot of relevant information

Overall i felt the course was well pitched and well delivered - I think maybe there is room for considering post intervention care, sometimes folk can feel more suicidal post engagement with statutory mental health services! Also self care during and after such a conversation (this was touched on)

very informative course, gave me a better understanding of approaching the discussion around suicide and dealing with someone who might be dealing with the situation.

I would recommend it

I don't particularly enjoy online training but it was quite interactive and felt safe and friendly. The content was good and it flowed well.

Really useful course with lots of helpful ways to support people.
