This was well organised and well managed. The content was great at dispelling myths about suicide and considering who was at most risk. I enjoyed the requests for feedback using tick and cross as well as comments in the chat box. The tutor was particularly good at weaving in and responding to the chat comments.

I think the self care elements of the course for us as attendee really did support the course. I felt that 'talking' about suicide, really will help the next time I might need to 'listen' to someone with suicidal thoughts. Realising that you can not solve the complex phenomenon of suicide but the want to try, is indeed a step towards helping someone.

The Suicide First Aid Training by Emma Tomes had a sensitive balance of discussion and detail oriented guidance. Emma Tomes is a very well experienced and big-hearted tutor. First she set a very-very safe circle of trust and safety when she was sure that we - as participants - were all inside this circle she started focusing on the details more. She was taking good emotional and educational care of all the participants! I also loved the way how she used humour when it was appropriate. Thanks to Emma the whole group was in emotional and educational flow on the Saturday Morning of the 26th June 2021. I feel honoured that I was part of it! Thank you Emma Tomes for your passion!
