Very helpful and I learnt a lot, it has helped me to be more confident with helping someone and it was good to hear what other people said too. Dinosaurs!

A helpful course, especially the video clips to illustrate various points. The first session was very much a revision of the modules and the second session firmly implanted the use of ALGEE. I would have liked a bit more depth of the 4 Ls to train the brain to take a wider perspective. I also think that the triple A of ALGEE needs as much emphasis as the double E but I do find it very helpful to have an pneumonic especially in a crisis situation.

Attending this course today boosted my knowledge to understand how to support a person going through mental health issues, also learned different channels to seek support whenever encounter a situation where a person needs help. I have found a panel discussion engaging with lots of tips and ideas to share, this led me to the best results to gain more skills. exercises during this first aids course nourished my performance to understand how different scenarios could impact and trigger a person's behavior for them to act differently in society, I found it real although it was video, therefore in the future, I would have an idea on how to approach such person without any form of discrimination, judgment to support. The leader was not only patient and kind to listen to the audience but also answered all questions and explained clearly for us to achieve this training with great tips. All in all, we all go through mental when it comes to an issue, Nadege will remember (ALGEE ) to support us when needed. Thank you.

David was lovely, encouraging and supportive, gave plenty of time for people to answer and listened to all. He made a challenging topic very accessible and calm. Would highly recommend him and he is an asset to MHFA.

A very well constructed and presented course. David was fantastic, very informative and knowledgeable but also approachable and friendly. Course content was extremely comprehensive and the videos and group exercises and discussions very useful. Although I am a qualified BACP counsellor I now feel much better prepared and able to assist someone experiencing mental health illness, or a crisis.

I thought that there was an awful lot of material to cover and absorb and with that in mind feel that the course would have benefitted with being a bit longer. ( 2 whole days ). Carol did extremely well to discuss such sensitive topics . She was both approachable and informative and the discussion and exercises were very helpful. The fact that it was interactive enabled us to learn from each other too. I think that this course is extremely useful in todays climate where so many are dealing with poor mental health. Having someone to support and assist you in the workplace is invaluable .Response : Hi Joanne, Many thanks for your feedback. I agree we do cover a significant amount of material in the time we have for sessions. I'm glad that you felt that the discussions with other people on the course were useful. We did have a pretty special group I have to say. You will all be assets to your companies that's for sure. Big thanks, Carol
