A great course but very intense and tiring

It was good to put all the issues together in a limited framework. At times it was difficult to hear what was being said, and I am not sure the trainer always heard the questions. One particular issue was "aloneness" where there seemed to be some contradiction. Being on Zoom does have its limitations!

As this was a virtual session, the facilitator did well to ensure that the content was relevant, up to date and interesting. It was also very interactive and provided a grounding to ask questions and clarify points raised. There was a good use of media and chat function which provided variety to the session. The break out room didn't work for some (audio was down in my group) although the chat function sufficed to good effect.

A useful introduction to a very sensitive topic and it's definitely provided me with understanding as well as a practical approach to dealing with potential situations.

Thank you Alison, As a trainer myself I thought you delivered the session brilliantly and I am envious of how well you engaged us all. I wish my delegates were as engaged! All down to you, thank you again!

it was a completely new subject for me and something i have zero experience or knowledge in. however i didnt feel left out or behind on anything as it was all kept very on point and thorough from first recognising the signs, approaching and talking/listening to the person and following through with a plan afterwards. gained alot of knowledge from just 1 day and very worthwhile

The use of language and being direct as we tend to be a bit unsure of how to approach this, was really useful.

Day two (second half) felt a little rushed.

The booklet being virtual did make things difficult, especially as it could not be printed or written on. Having it as a word document would have been helpful or having a completed booklet sent out after the session would be good.
