I loved the course and thought it was really helpful in giving people more confidence to support others when they are having thoughts of suicide. It gave me the correct language and signs to look out for, an understanding of risk factors and a plan to help people in the best way should the situation arise.
A really interesting course which I have taken a lot away to think about and apply to my own practice. Steve was very knowledgeable and I thought the course was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
This was really helpful and informative training, that I will be able to use in my job regularly, everyone in the caring professions should have to do this training.
Thoroughly enjoyed the session, it was interactive, relevant and has given me additional skills, information and resources that I can take into my practice and share with my colleagues
The pace was right The video was excellent The exercises were powerful and contributed to learning
The suicide first aid training was brilliant and extremely helpful to my role. The workbook is very useful for me to reflect on my learning but also as a resource.
Training session was comprehensive and the content was very useful. Steve was an excellent tutor and took us through the material confidently.
This was fantastic. Steve was such a brilliant facilitator. No pressure, very approachable and inclusive. Made the expectations very clear. I think everyone should do this course. It is so important and people still lack the courage/knowledge about how to speak to someone who is experiencing mental ill-health and are thinking about taking their own lives This was an invaluable kind of knowledge that has increased my confidence in knowing how to work with someone who is experiencing thoughts of harming themselves/taking their own lives.
