The course was delivered well i was captivated throughout the course as it was interactive.
I have had no previous suicide prevention training, and this training session was very helpful. However it would also be helpful to have training or some of the session content, aimed specifically at FCC staff, who are not face to face with the victim. It can be difficult to assess a situation over the phone. Also some kind of negotiation training for FCC staff would also be helpful. A greater understanding of a persons mental health needs when in a crisis situation would be of use to call takers too.
I really enjoyed the course, I liked the pace and the variety of learning options i.e. self reflection, group discussion, tutor led
