SFA 02 - Suicide First Aid: Understanding Suicide Intervention Reviews

I am thankful to have been able to be a part of the course, I have come away feeling more confident that I would be able to recognise and engage in the correct way with someone having thoughts of suicide. Even the little things I was not aware of like the word ‘commit’ and the negative connotations behind it and how it can effect someone has made me more aware of the language I am using. It has also gave me insight into the services we have available to offer to strangers, friends family etc and even ourselves when in a point of need.

The course allowed me to on longer see suicide as a taboo subject and feel more at ease discussing it.

Thank you Steve for a really insightful course. I have built upon my knowledge as a MHFA, and feel like I have closed some of the gaps I had when it comes to talking about Suicide.
