SFA02-Suicide First Aid: Understanding Suicide Intervention Reviews

Suicide First Aid provided me with improved knowledge, confidence and strategies for dealing with suicide interventions in an empathetic, thoughtful and structured way. Jamie was an excellent coach; knowledgeable, caring and engaging throughout. Highly recommended.

This training has been very much an education, i feel i learned what i was hoping to learn but much more, it has made me think differently about certain aspects.

For such a weighty and sombre subject, I found this course to be inspiring and was happy to see so many others on the course from such a wide range of backgrounds. I found the training session enjoyable, especially considering the complexity of the topic. The materials and vocabulary used were clear and helpful. Additionally, I appreciated the professionalism and active participation of the team, which made the experience more enjoyable. Most of my colleagues have prior mental health training, which facilitated a smooth transition into the Suicide First Aid training.

This course has given me strongly knowledge on how to deal/communicate with a person having suicidal thoughts. I will be better prepared for a conversation and how to engage properly.
