RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,253 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

Good, easy techniques and a good chance to practice them on people with different strengths

Ben was through with his training, stopping to reshow people if they needed another demonstration. Made sure everyone was confident with each move before moving onto the next one. I feel much more confident and competent to do this should I have to

Ben directed us through Day 3 of the course, and tailored it towards our needs as paediatric nurses and health care staff. This was excellent for patients who demonstrate behaviour that can be challenging, but also for de-escalation for patients and their families, especially for patients who may require nursing interventions with restraints.

Response: Thank you for your feedback, Claire. We’re delighted that Ben tailored Day 3 to your paediatric nursing role and that the training supported your understanding of approaches to behaviour that can be challenging and de-escalation with patients and families. We hope that completing the course will further support you within your role.

Really enjoyed the day. It is really good to know the best way of holding patients safely in order to keep them safe as well as yourself. Ben is really knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
