Since 2015, Coursecheck has been supporting trainers and training companies to gather really informative feedback on the training they have delivered. We understand how hard they work to ensure the learning they deliver is effective, which is why we created The Brilliance Awards.
Each year since 2018 we have recognised excellence in training amongst Coursecheck customers. Each January, we analyse all the feedback gathered on the quality of courses delivered during the previous year, received from the tens of thousands of learners who have used our software to review their learning. We then categorise the highest scoring by company size and training type to find our winners.
The winners in each category receive a gift and a winners’ logo that can be used in print or digitally. We’ve seen some great examples of recent winners adding their logo to their email footers, sharing their win on social media and – like recent winners TMD Friction and Up To Speed Training – issuing a news release themselves. As we all know, when it comes to marketing, every little helps!
We are delighted that these training businesses choose to collect and analyse their learner feedback through Coursecheck - and their commitment to providing training of the highest quality shows through in the high ratings and excellent feedback they receive from their learners. Although the winners each year reflect a diverse range of businesses, they do have at least one thing in common: they all use customer feedback to continuously improve the quality of the services they offer.
Are there any conclusions that we could draw from looking at hundreds of thousands of learner reviews over the years? While it’s certainly true that “you can’t please all the people, all of the time” (as the saying goes), actually the vast majority of learners are really constructive with their feedback, commenting on the positive and negative points that impact them most. We believe that is partly because Coursecheck provides them with a ‘neutral’ platform for their responses. As a general trend, we would also suggest that smaller companies often receive, on average, better scores than larger ones. We know that larger businesses deliver excellent training so we do just wonder whether there is something about the more personal approach offered by smaller training providers which triggers better feedback. Good to know that smaller businesses can compete with larger ones in some respects!
