Extremely comprehensive course which leaves the administrator feeling confident in the choice of assessment tools to use and with the administration. The required skills are gently built throughout the week long course. It is very interactive and your skills in this complex assessment technique are developed quickly. I would recommend this course to any clinical professional.
The ADOS and ADI-R training was, without a doubt, the most engaging training I have ever attended. Carol knows her subject inside out, and her depth of knowledge shone through in every session. What stood out just as much was her reflective approach. It was clear how thoughtfully she has examined her own practice, and that brought real depth and insight to the teaching. I particularly appreciated how accommodating the format was. There was no pressure to make small talk or take part in awkward group tasks, which made it so much easier to feel comfortable and focus on learning. The discussion board still offered a space for anyone who wanted to connect, ask questions or share reflections. That thoughtful balance made such a difference. The resources are invaluable, and having access to them for six months is a huge benefit as I put the learning into practice. I came away feeling inspired and thoroughly impressed. I honestly couldn’t recommend this training more highly!
I have really enjoyed the training, Carol is amazing and is so obviously well experienced. It was nice to also have Garry as our point of contact and informant regarding assignments/moodle. Very well organised course. It is a lot of information and I do feel my brain is bursting with it, but it was to be expected. I would definitely recommend and I have already done so!!
Having not administered these assessments in my practice previously, I feel prepared and confident to do so following this training. Carol explained concepts so clearly and was patient in responding to all of our questions and sometimes even pre-empting things that we would need to know more about. It has made me excited about administering these assessments and being able to better understand and support people with suspected or diagnosed autism.
