The content and workshop was well organized and to the point so would recommend. If there was more time, I would like more continuous support (like 2-3 more opportunities to practice and get feedback).
It is a good brief intro course. I would be keen yo know more about a more thorough course that takes advantage of the facilitator experience as a media expert.
Might make you slightly uncomfortable but this is helpful.
This training gives us the tools to start presenting. There’s an opportunity to present for a minute during the course to understand our baseline and build from there
I think the first section was repetitive to those on the team who have either done multiple sessions of media training, or who have worked in the industry for a number of years, but can appreciate why the content was in there. I really enjoyed the tips around location, microphone position and slating and pausing the audio recording. The tip sheet will be useful to share with our spox and storytellers and support them through recordings.
Good reminder of the key points to bear in mind in media interviews and great chance to practice
A good way to gain experience of different kinds of media engagement (TV, radio, written)
A comprehensive overview of different types of media and how to cater your presentation to each. Really supportive and knowledgeable tutors who gave feedback throughout which we could build on during each task.
