An extremely important training with regard tribunals and what is expected.
I expected over 100 people, I was pleasantly surprised to find only 10 of us, three of whom I knew. I felt the small group setting was really good and enabled me to be more involved and comfortable. I really enjoyed the learning today. There was a lot to take in, so I am glad we have been given access to slides and links so that we can browse in our own time. Lots of valuable sources to learn from.
As always, Nick is an excellent trainer and expert in the field - was really helpful and knowledgeable in the subject, provided good real world examples, excellent demonstration of being a witness, and pace of class was really good! The tips and advice given are really encouraging and will considerably help in applying to my role. Thanks again Nick!
Great course, very informative. Will recommend!
Very good and useful course. Will find cases referred to as helpful in planning in future cases.
excellent - i will get more confident with practice in terms of writing reports and attending court
I look forward to developing courtroom skills more in the future- will certainly take some practice.
Big thank you to Simon Self; wonderful teacher! Really enjoyed the high quality content of all of the expert witness course days. The thing I find very frustrating (entirely separate to the teaching and actual course days) is the administration side of BS. It can be very difficult to access the relevant documents, understand the costings, timelines for submission of examined pieces of work and what to expect next once they're submitted. I think this area requires some work as I have done CUBS and the complaints course with both experiencing similar issues. Candidates are constantly asking our teachers in the course sessions for clarity on many of these processes and this reflects the ineffective administration processes supporting the course.
