I learn visually, so more videos and real life examples would stick in my mind more

The course was very informative and has taught me a lot about mental health and I now feel confident on how to approach and help someone who is experiencing mental health issues. Cathy was brilliant right the way throughout the course and helping with accessing the modules, ensuring we were ready for the webinars and offering any help whether about the course or mental health during and between webinars.

Thank you so much! I have learnt how to put ALGEE into place as a methodical approach to supporting someone with mental health needs. It was all informative, appropriate and exceeded my expectations!

I enjoyed competing the modules before the course as this gave good insight into the questions the trainer posed. I liked the reinforcement of the use of ALGEE too.

The course is well run and clearly illustrates the role of a MHFA and helps prepare you on how to act in various situations. Additionally, the manual is a valuable tool to have as it allows for me to go back over what was taught during the MHFA course.

I feel that the course was designed to allow existing prejudices and assumptions about mental health to be discussed and changed to allow us to perform our responsibilities and duties as Mental Health First Aiders. I feel much better equipped to assess, approach and assist persons who may be in crisis.
