RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,253 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

Very useful and definitely needed in practice as past experience, it would have been more helpful in those situations. It makes all the staff on the same page when needed to do any restraints.

Thorough and informative course. Well educated and experienced trainers. The trainer's were respectful and asked for consent when it came to physical contact. It would have been nice to have the breaks outlined at the start of the day. Otherwise, very enjoyable course.

Course was very good . It was very helpful with the new skills that I learned today. Very effectively to practice on my own ward with the patient and I feel confident using them.

Great trainer good sense of humour and made it fun. More videos would be a relief from the more hard work ppt.

I think the training and the trainer were brilliant and very informative, I feel much more confident in restraining if I need to ever, I feel the techniques are great and they don’t require any force, just require good communication and correct techniques, which I feel very confident in doing now.
