RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,253 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

Kirstie was a fantastic coach. She was able to keep us all engaged the entire day. She put the training into real life situations that we may encounter on the ward. I would feel confident doing these restraints if absolutely necessary on a child or young person after this training.

Very enjoyable and informative course. Trainer was excellent at demonstrating techniques and explaining theory. Enjoyed the course and will use the skills in practice. Excellent trainer made me feel comfortable through out the training.

Great trainer and informative session. I’ve learnt restrictive techniques to use as necessary in practice and only as a last resort to maintain the safety of patients and/or others.

I have throughly enjoyed all three courses! I feel as though it has heeled my time on paediatric wards when this course was not available and times were tough. I have the knowledge and understanding of triggers, de escalation, baselines and release.

Response: Thank you so much for sharing such a powerful reflection. It’s incredibly moving to hear that the course has helped bring healing to your experiences on paediatric wards, especially during times when support like this wasn’t available. That kind of impact is exactly why we do what we do. It’s fantastic to know that you’re leaving the training with a deeper understanding of triggers, de-escalation, baselines, and release. Your commitment to learning and applying these principles makes a real difference, and we’re proud to have been part of your journey across all three courses. Thank you again for your openness and trust.
