A good course but better directed at people new to H&A such as low level consultants, not at higher level team leads/managers.

I feel like I’m more aware of the cautions to look out for with Dysphagia.

The course should be condensed into one or two days. Three days is too long.

I think more active participation would have been more beneficial. I enjoyed the last part but think it would have been better if we all got the try some self defence techniques. I also think there should have been more open questions for the group to answer so that more active examples came to light. Material was good but training could of been more interactive and engaging for participates

I’ve done first aid courses now over the past 18 years and found this one to be really poor, if that was just me learning first aid for the first time I would be nervous finishing that course… it was a lot of just sitting and watching a slide show which could have been done from my own workplace, the videos that was shown was all of John and another person, mostly shown wrong, once with holding the EpiPen wrong and the other during the AED training with CPR he was already touching the patient before the AED instructed him too, there was no real life videos was awfully boring, what was shown on the screen was then spoke about by Mark just him talking mostly about the same thing over and over… very little practical, very little engaging with the other people on the course, found it really disinteresting, learn better when listening to other people’s experiences …We were also not told if we had passed the assessment before we left…I personally would not recommend Health Matters for my next refresher course.
