Easy understanding and interactive

Quite slow, the full text of the SOS user guide was read out which was unnecessary. Should definitely be a half day course. Trainer was mostly just reading from the screen

I think there was a lot of confusion regarding what rospa required and what they were marking against

I understand it is not the trainers fault, there seeems to be a disconnect between Health Matters NI and ROSPA, at various times throughout the course it was not always entirely clear what exactly ROSPA were looking for in the asssessment, I had to change session plans and slides to accomodate to changing information

The trainer Eamonn was very good and considerate However it appears he was working of a course manual and when asked questions on certain items had to refer to another person or back to ROSPA ROSPA work to a time criteria of presentations approximately 30minutes this is okay with a small class of 4 but with a larger number of 8 learners more time is needed for discussion and interaction with learners

I will never do first aid again. I have done first aid courses many times , always loved them but i did not take 3 days out of a job i love to feel like i do right now. The negativity and constant commwnts about failing have really upset me. On day 1 2 ladies qho scored 12 were told they were likely to fail the final exam. I have a degree and taught for almost 30 years, i only hope i have never made a pupil feel how i feel right now. Praise and positivity are better for growth and development than negativity which only creates fear.
