I always put off doing this course as I don’t feel I’m medically minded and I didn’t want the responsibility at school. Since having my own children I thought it would be good to have. I am now equipped with a much better knowledge and understanding of how to best deal with a range of scenarios. Tony gave us lots of time to practise and ask questions. I’m more confident now than I thought I’d be!!

In the past at such courses there were videos which showed the devastating impact large fires have on premises and people’s lives. This was very emotive and gave people a fuller understanding of how poorly managed premises / business can lead to death and unnecessary destruction. Might be an idea to consider bringing one of these examples to show how important a little knowledge is and what it might prevent.
