It was a good course and I went away knowing more about different conflict styles and how I can approach conflict effectively. I would say that it could have been shorter and didn't need a full day. Also we didn't have access to course material which was supposed to have been sent beforehand.
Really interesting course, that was interactive and engaging throughout, it was a great group on the call and trainer was engaging, answering all questions put to him and allowing us to discuss openly and promote a positive environment to discuss conflict/difficult conversations.
Chris was extremely knowledgable about the subject matter. He created great group discussion which maintained interest throughout the long day. Definitely take key points away and apply in my everyday role which makes me more confident to deal with any future conflicts that may occur. Thanks
Would have been helpful if our team had shared the policies to the instructor. Overall she was very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. I normally hate breakouts and role plays but I found these useful and supported the course well.
I found the course enjoyable and can really see the value for less experienced colleagues. Not sure what session is given to trainees but I could see a version of this being great as the same guidance is relevant to orders as well. I think if this rolled out it should be if possible attended when it is identified that a warrant is likely to be sought so that it is fresh in the mind. From memory I think we have only had one case a year since lockdown where we obtained search warrants on branch.
The course training was very insightful, which I feel has boosted my confidence. I am sure that with what I have so far gained, there would be so much improvement in my practice especially with regards to completing MCA/BIA
Taking the time to speak and practice specifically on court room skills is something I think all investigators should do periodically - the course today was time well spent in that respect. Having an experienced lawyer deliver today's training added a certain credibility (as opposed to training a similar event led by HMRC officers).
Great trainer made it an interesting subject to learn.
It was very interesting, and it was clear that Jim was an extremely experienced trainer. There was plenty of good examples and practical exercises.
