The trainer was excellent, and some of the most engaging training I have ever had. He made a point to keep everyone included and paced himself really well so that it was easy to keep up and understand what he was saying. The content itself is familiar to me but I have not had formal training before, this was a good overview of what it is and how to apply it. I think if the SRA could have funded more days, at least one more day would have been useful. I think it was heavily tailored to police/suspect interviewing, whereas in my specific role and most of those in investigation in the SRA, we tend to have casual phone calls and take civil statements, and I think this training could have been more tailored to our specific roles rather than generic. As I think its unlikely I will do this level of interviewing in my role.

I really enjoyed it. The trainer was really engaging. His examples from his own employment were very useful - never off point, and helped bring points to life.

i found the overall course really good, although i deal with change quite often, i hadn't come across LEAPS/READS although i do use parts of these Listening, empathy, avoiding confrontation, asking questions and trying to summarise at the end. i also have focus groups and leads to assist with change to bring the team along with me. (not so keen on role playing), but do like to see in training courses actors doing the role playing as you can pick up on where there has been good practice or where comms can be improved

The course was great, the trainer was great, I certainly feel better prepared for attending Tax Tribunal as and when it comes up. Specifically, the opportunity to be cross-examined was very useful, in building the experience in a safe space (as a witness). I would say, given that the course is already excellent, making it relevant to tax litigation could be an added feature, but not essential.

Phil was a great trainer made everything very interesting and engaging, easy to understand the materials.
