Really interesting session, not often that a course keeps you engaged all day but this one did! Delivered well and explained in language and terminology which was easy to understand. I’ll be encouraging colleagues to attend.
Neil G, 02 May 2024
Overall really good thank you, looking forward to day 2
Sophie B, 02 May 2024
There was obviously a lot of information to take in but the course was a good mix of reading, discussion and exercises.
Ash T, 02 May 2024
Enjoyable day which was well broken up and not overwhelming which covered some crucial legislation which underpins our everyday work.

1. Bond Solon courses are very expensive. Local Authorities are not in a a position to pay for this training. You need to run some subsidised schemes for the public sector. I borrowed money to attend this course. 2. I have so far attended four modules, which is enough to complete B7 qualification. This will be my third Master's Degree. I am very well educated and have a lot of different experiences. I am shocked that in the 21st century Bond Solon did not have any female tutors delivering any of the training. I understand that there are many barriers for me- I am working in the 'man's world'. I am a female of the ethnic minority. There was an incident through work recently when multiple internal and external stakeholders, where I simply conveyed what BBC had said about a particular event. I received multiple verbal attacks. The way I dealt with it? I told all parties involved to contact BBC if they were not happy with something that BBC had said and alerted my manager to this matter. 3. Bond Solon gave me false information on extensions upon enrolment in comparison to once I was enrolled, which meant getting an extension and not getting it.
