I found it very helpful that we only had one case study to look at, as when participating in training courses, I can sometimes feel overwhelmed with trying to familiarise myself with different case studies and all the exhibits that go with them. It was helpful that we just had one, so that I could learn this one inside and out and felt more prepared for my role play as a result. The presenter made sure that she checked along the way if things were relevant, and tailored the course to our needs. I found the presenter very engaging and approachable. I found the course fantastic and a great way to gain more experience in not only our role when preparing court documents, but also court etiquette and what to say/what not to say when addressing the judge.

Really enjoyed the course, lots of information. As a trainee it is quite daunting but I now definitely feel more confident around interviewing and will hopefully be able to put my skills and knowledge to the test in the near future. Tim was a fantastic trainer

Tim is a great trainer helped me understand the subject and will help me put in practice in my role. Yes the more I do ie interview the more confident I will be but this is a great training to boost my confidence. I feel that this is a great training not only to investigate and interview people but also to investigate evidence.

i had a pace interview training in the past. This one is so much better. I am pleased to provide this reference for Tim who conducted this training . I had the opportunity to observe the session and was highly impressed by his professionalism, adherence to legal protocols, and ability to create a calm, respectful environment for the everyone. Tim demonstrated a clear understanding of the PACE Codes of Practice, particularly in relation to the rights of the interviewee, the importance of accurate cautioning, and the structured approach to questioning. His communication was clear, impartial, and empathetic—qualities essential for effective and ethical interviewing. Tim definitely increased my confidence! Thank you

Some useful pieces of case law would be helpful for the handout Also the Empowerment Matters/Ministry of justice would have been great. Although the course was not aimed at Children in the end (some elements where) I really enjoyed it. However, I am mindful that there were a lot of children's nurses at the training due to being advertised as a training event specifically around 16-17 year olds/children. I think having more of this within the training would have been extremely useful. Thank you
