I found the update training really good as usual with Sue. There was a great use of case studies and case law examples, which really helped to enhance knowledge and to reflect on some key challenges in practice.

responsive to requests from individuals to explore certain topic areas and supported discussion even if they went off topic slightly. extremely knowledgeable and informed on the subject matter

James' training session was really engaging and interactive, with helpful breakout sessions that made sure everyone was included and was able to engage. Everything was explained clearly and in detail, which made it all easy to follow and the situations were really relevant. The pace of the day was perfect, and the topics and situations covered felt very up to date. I’ve come away with loads to take on board and implement!

Sue gave everyone a chance to speak when they needed to and explained the role of the BIA and the expectations on the role. The emphasis on the care plan and how this can impact on the person has made me realise its further importance not saying I did not but it highlighted now. Especially with comparison to one of my cases where a lady was in hospital for many months with a Dols documentation in place yet she had capacity. Thank you for the training it was informative and covered a lot of sections.
