Jim Sullivan was a really engaging and interesting trainer. He made consistent effort to relate the training material to our specific unit as best he could, and encouraged us to do the same during the exercises. His knowledge of the subject and beyond was really admirable and he facilitated an environment where everyone would happily get involved without fear of judgement.

The content delivered during today’s session was highly relevant and directly applicable to our day-to-day responsibilities. It provided valuable insights that clearly align with the nature of our work, particularly in investigative and case preparation tasks. The trainer facilitated the session in a very engaging and dynamic manner. His use of storytelling was particularly effective—it brought the material to life and helped contextualise complex concepts in a way that was both relatable and memorable. This approach not only maintained interest throughout but also enhanced understanding of the subject matter. Overall, the session was informative, well-structured, and delivered with enthusiasm. It has reinforced key practices and offered practical takeaways that will undoubtedly support us in our roles.

The course was both insightful and enlightening, as it deepened my understanding of the laws and legislation relevant to my line of work. It has equipped me with the knowledge to enhance my role and take a more proactive approach moving forward.

Very, very useful course. Being able to plan an interview and use various methods to plan an interview and use acronyms that can help with difficult situations and being able to understand the suspects position among other scenarios. In our role we are unlikely to see some of the scenarios proposed but being aware of them and having those skills available will be extremely effective in the future.

I have very little experience of investigative interviewing so very much felt out of my comfort zone. Tim was very encouraging and supportive knowing this information, and responded to all of my questions and worries. The course content I found really interesting and engaging. Even though there was a lot to get through we had regular breaks and I felt like i was able to digest the information. I think this will be very good for my confidence in this role going forward,
