This course would be OK for our role if we did have to take statements regularly. There will be some skill fade with this for me as a statement will only be taken if going down the prosecution route.
a very informative course. however the trainer had not been briefed on our role. the examples used were not role specific and a issue with IT (could not play a video to teams group) significantly affected the afternoon exercise. (20 minutes delay the trainer ended up playing the video on an Ipad and held it up to his camera).

The training was excellent. I think having this modulke provided in person in the future would be a better way to go, as the breakout sessions and practice interviewing case studies would have been better conducted in person. Richard did a great job in arranging the case studies remotely however.
Ren was a fantastic trainer and I feel more confident in my statement writing skills as a result of the course. The only aspect in which the course could be improved is by less independent working throughout the course of the day. Whilst it is good to do exercises to put knowledge into practice, I would have preferred to go over examples of statement writing more and would have also enjoyed reviewing our statements as a whole group to pick out points for improvement, etc. Overall still a good course and thank you again to Ren :)
