I found this really helpful and it gave an insight as to how we as officers of HMRC are to present evidence. I will be taking this into account when i attend court

Very useful training. It provides insight into what is expected of me when I'm required to give evidence and useful tips for preparing for the day.

Course has a focus on behaviours and relationships which reaffirmed and refreshed earlier training and experiences. Tutor very engaging and informed. To make it more "real" a study on a commercial deal illustrating techniques and approaches would have been really useful

Thank you for the opportunity to attend the negotiation skills session. It was valuable to take dedicated time to reflect on core principles, and I appreciated the facilitator’s expertise and the energy they brought to delivery. The session was well-intentioned and the quality of the content itself was sound. I also found it beneficial to have some opportunity to interact with colleagues I don’t usually work with, even if briefly—this is always a positive aspect of cross-team training. From a development perspective, I would offer a few suggestions that could enhance future sessions: Level and depth: The material felt quite foundational. For participants with prior experience, the session may have limited incremental value. It might be helpful to consider tiering sessions (e.g. introductory vs. advanced) to better reflect varying experience levels. Delivery approach: The session was predominantly lecture-based across the day (c. 5.75 hours), which made it more challenging to maintain engagement. Introducing more varied delivery methods—such as interactive exercises, case studies, or facilitated discussion—could help sustain energy and deepen learning. Use of materials: The workbook itself was clear and comprehensive. However, much of the session appeared to follow the workbook closely; encouraging more application of the content (rather than primarily walking through it) could increase impact. Supplementary formats such as slides, visual aids, or short activities/quizzes might also help reinforce key points. Interactivity: While the breakout sessions were useful, increasing both the frequency and duration of interactive elements would likely improve engagement and provide more opportunity to practise skills in a realistic way. Overall, while the session covered good foundational content and was delivered with strong intent, a more interactive and varied design would significantly enhance the learning experience—particularly for more experienced participants.
