Overall – enjoyed and enjoyed John’s presentation style. Thought it spread out over 3 modules was good as all that information in one day would have been too much for me. Really enjoyed the first and third session as I thought it gave a broad understanding of how complex running an Insurance company is and could relate to the last session on financial instruments. The second session I found quite hard going and not sure I understood some of the concepts, the IBNR and the IBNER etc is still a mystery to me ! But I am not working on the survey continually so do not understand all the nuances. For the future it would be good to get some examples that relate to issues we have on the questionnaires.Response : Thanks for your feedback Mandy, very much appreciated. I thoroughly enjoy the training. The pace of the sessions were just right and John interacted well with all the participants and made a very dry subject both interesting and enjoyable. I’ve no real constructive feedback to give really. It was unfortunate that some participants kept losing connection but that’s more on an ONS issue.Response : Hi Kevin, thank you for your feedback. This was the first time I had undertaken such a web based interactive training course. Once I had got to grips with how to use the interactive tools, it was good and proves it can work. The interactive tools also ensure everyone is involved and not too distracted by emails popping up. My only issue was a long delay in my responses going back to the moderator, which made role playing nigh on impossible for me at least. I am sure this is a connectivity issue others have from time to time.Response : Thanks for your feedback Darren. I am sorry you encountered technical difficulties, it does happen from time to time unfortunately but we overcome it most times. I am glad you enjoyed the course as a whole though. I like your idea of setting the course up with a specific focus for Senior Managers. We will explore this! All the best. Paul

Generally a good course although due to time constraints couldn't go in to the full details.Response : Hi Tony, thanks for your feedback. You are right we did need a bit more time. We don't usually run this course at capacity (10 delegates), which meant we did need more time to accommodate everyone, when it came to skills practice etc. We have now extended the course by 30 minutes to allow more time when we have a larger number of delegates. Really enjoyed the format of the training course, despite everyone attending remotely it felt very interactive. Perhaps some attendees feel more comfortable getting involved when they are participating virtually. Sarah was really helpful as well and very patient with any teething and technical issues anyone had using webinar for the first time. Trainer was very engaging and made content interesting/come alive. Actual content perhaps a bit too basic for underwriters who have completed LM1 and LM2 of the CII Cert. I can see how employees not in underwriting roles would find this course extremely useful.Response : Hi Viktoriya, I agree with you.
