Course was well detailed and with a good mix of lecture and practice.
Have gone from feeling out of the water with financial modeling, M&A analysis, DCF projections to now feeling decently confident where I can start work having an understanding of everything I will be working with or understand enough to ask relevant questions.
I would've liked to go more in depth into the logic of modeling. I felt like the harder, more thoughtful parts of modeling where already laid out for us. Adding a debt model would also be helpful.
I wish the course flexed to the pace that the majority of the class wanted. It was a little bit slower and repetitive at times. The M&A class is very comprehensive and solid, though.
Rubin was awesome! He made the material very easy to understand.
The exercises are great on the whole. The one piece of improvement I'd suggest is to try to find ways to force out the intuition behind some of the things we're doing. I found at times doing exercises that I was just mechanistically following the steps from the handout or discussed during the lecture and even though I completed the exercise correctly, I wasn't 100% sure why it was correct. On the whole though, great course. Very helpful and Rubin was a great teacher!
Great pace and engaging. Ruben is a great instructor. Right balance between teaching and exercises.
Thorough and thoughtful insights. Professor Yoo made it a wonderful experience and kept it engaging despite the lengthy days.
We moved slightly slower than I would’ve liked but decent review of general finance
