I found the course was fantastic in that it catered for a wide range of very different skill levels, allowed us to grow and encouraged peer support throughout. The work was also interesting and we felt safe in a hazardous environment. The staff from BITE where very approachable, knowledge and, for some of us who were anxious, were able to put our minds to ease. The introductory be-brief was really cool, like a military operation with the 3D animation and highlighting of specific components. Overall really impressed with the experience. When I was young I used to volunteer at the zoo back when it was Sparkwell Wildlife park and this was so much better than what we did back in the 80's and 90's. I want to do more work at the Zoo now as a result of this experience.
Mark, Chris and Ella delivered a fantastic half day of team building for our group of 45 colleagues. Despite our short notice booking, Mark was responsive and proactive in pulling the project together and preparing for the big day. We thoroughly enjoyed enhancing the enclosure for one of the residents of Dartmoor Zoo, applying ourselves to a exciting construction project whilst building relationships between our teams. If only we could do this every week!
I found this a great demonstration that purpose and practicality brings teams together more authentically than the standard team building exercise. Paired with the novelty of the location this led to a high degree of engagement.
The whole team really enjoyed the experience and would recommend to others looking for team building activities.
Great creative build, everyone got involved and learnt new skills. It was fun, engaging and gave great satisfaction in enriching life for the animals. We've been back to the park since and we can say 'we built that'!
An extremely well planned out event. With all materials and tools well thought out to ensure the day ran smoothly and so all abilities could take part. A really enjoyable team building event which also had a purpose and so you never felt like you were just going through the motions.
Really good activity and guidance. Both instructors were happy to help and advise whilst leaving teams to navigate their way through the tasks.
The course was so well organised, it was great to be surrounded by nature and we all worked well together to finish the task, the racoons definitely were impressed by our efforts too! Lunch in the restaurant was very tasty, would definitely do it again.
