City and Guilds 2391-52, Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations reviews

4.8 (352 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Attendees particularly value the tutors’ extensive electrical knowledge, clear explanations and approachable support. They find the sessions engaging, with humour, real-life examples and patient answers that make theory and practical testing easier to understand. The course builds confidence and helps learners apply standards and coding principles at work, although several attendees find the intensive schedule leaves limited time for practical training and may require a separate assessment visit.

There was a problem student in the first day, but when he quit the teaching atmosphere vastly improved and made the course a lot better.

Overall very good, although I have had no previous inspection and testing experience I feel for me personally the course should be longer (2 weeks) and should include the practical test rather than have to book it separately.

Wendy is by far the best tutor I have had during a 4 year study period, there is no question she couldn't answer and was so supportive throughout, she made this course for me, absolutely excellent throughout.

The instructor was very informed and made the course fun to learn. I would have liked access to the portal before the course though as an added feature.

Access to the portal prior to the course along with copies of the regulations would have been of benefit. The course is understandably geared at experienced electricians, had this been clearer at the time of booking I may have reconsiddered given my experience levels.

Well run and structured course, which was taught to a really high standard. Potentially, by extending the course length an extra day, it would allow the content to be spread out and more time could be spent focusing on 3-phase systems
