Thanks for running this Steve, its really good to go back over the approach and make sure I'm dealing things directly and compassionately. I think that it might be good to have some examples of maybe when there's a situation that's concerning but you might not be the best person to step in what to do in that case?

I really enjoyed the MHFA refresher course today, especially the section on suicide risk assessment. It’s such a critical skill, and especially the discussion on self-care for mental health first aiders. It’s so important to remember that too!

I think talking through the various stages of action in relation to someone that may be having suicidal thoughts is very beneficial in that I believe it will be a lot clearer in my head as to how to deal with the situation, what I should say and what I should do and thus increasing the likelihood of be engaging in such circumstance's.

Bobbie's style of training is very inclusive and natural. She ensured that we all had ample opportunity to add input when discussing the scenarios presented. I now feel much more confident in my ability to help my fellow colleagues due to this refresher course. Thank you. Melanie.
