Gain a deeper understanding, especially around the use of language. This would be really beneficial for our frontline workers, increasing their awareness and hopefully this help reduce feelings of stigma around mental health issues related to self-harm and suicide, fostering a more open conversation.

This has been one of the best courses i have been on. Kirun and Tia were both amazing and i have taken so much from this training and it has left me feeling more confident when spending time with people who are in distress.

very informative. The course helps you to reflect and how important it is to just listen sometimes and not try and always fix things

Thank you so much for some really thought provoking training. It's a heavy topic and felt like it was delivered in a way that was really thoughtful and well paced. Thanks especially to Tia for coming and sharing her story, was really powerful and brought it to life. I know how scary it can be to share such personal information so thank you!

Really engaging and interactive session. Sian as the facilitator gave space for reflection and discussion that really enriched the learning.

This workshop had the perfect balance of information and reflection activities. The facilitators were brilliant, dealing with very challenging content in a balanced, approachable and realistic way.

I came with previous understanding, experience and training - a refresher and discussion was great. Sometimes a lot of being talked at which is challenging for my own attention span, but clearly very knowledgeable trainers who were approachable and open. I did expect more focus or time to talk about/consider how we might manage trauma from adult students (or our own) within our particular roles rather than what and how trauma manifests itself. Looking at the follow up materials perhaps we did do that a little - perhaps having a moment to to write down in our teams what we do well in managing trauma already and what we might like to work on for the future if we are missing any areas of support or consideration?
