I good opportunity to re-acquaint myself with PLC Technology and programming. There was a big leap from the learning on the first day and the Project, and feel this course would benefit from a couple of structured learning topics in between. This would likely reduce the mistakes and time lost in the Project.

Elliot was helpful with the course contents and received some useful learning points. However i was hoping to progress onto more complex PLCs in the second week and explore more complex aspects of the PLCs (e.g networks, analogue functions, complex programs) as advertised on the internet. It was apparent early on that the course was very much set and there wasn't much flexibility to progress beyond the set contents of the course.

I asked for additional help with after work reading material, so I could study back at the hotel, no hand outs that where useful, usb had less than useful material on it and the zip files wouldn't open, very disappointed in the course, feel like I wasted me resettlement grant and I'm contemplating cancelling my second course with you.

Tutor was a brilliant guy and very knowledgeable. But at times we went off on tangents and made the subject far more complexed than it need to be. But overall I found the course beneficial

The tutor did his best, but there was construction work using power tools including impact drivers going on just outside the classroom throughout the course. This caused a major disturbance, and at times the tutor could not be heard over the noise.

PLC Course could of been better, i came with no knowledge to write a program so i'm happy with that progression. however first week there was 11 people which was too many candidates. 6 were on simens and 5 on allen bradley, so the first week was very confusing because the instructor had to explain functions for both per 1 instruction. so essentially half of your learning day is irrelevant. if it was planned out better and the equipment was up to date, i could of progressed further.

Should include something about variable frequency drive.

It might not be the courses fault but I would of liked a more practical experience instead of programming for the 2 weeks as I wont be programming a PLC in industry.
