We had some serious issues in the beginning of the course. I asked Mike the trainer politely if I could eat my breakfast in the room and he was happy to allow this. Following this, he proceeded to insult me and tell the whole room, that people should wake up early and eat their breakfasts before coming to attend his course. He played loud music and told everyone in the room that the music was playing in the background because someone was eating breakfast in the room and that he didn’t like this. He proceeded to repeat the same issue atleast another 7 times. I felt intimidated and bullied so I spoke out and called out his unprofessional behaviour and advised him that he was in fact singling me out and bullying me. I have a zero tolerance approach to this and know when a person is trying to manipulate me into believing I am in the wrong. He said that he was not bullying me but continued to make references about me eating breakfast numerous times throughout the course At one point, when he made the reference again and the entire room was laughing at me which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I don’t appreciate severn trent allowing a trainer to be able to insult his trainees during a training session and request that this is investigated. To add insult to injury, he went through the introduction of Up To Speed policy and expectations which listed mutual respect and professionalism and when I pointed this out to him that he was not adhering to his company policy, his response was, and I quote “it is not my company, I am just a contractor for them so I don’t need to follow their policy’. I find this unacceptable and unprofessional. At no point did Mike offer an apology. There were 9 other witnesses in the room who can account for his constant and repeated references to me eating breakfast in the training room. I would not recommend this trainer.

Course ok with some information gained. Could be more supervisor specific with communication towards above than supervisors and operators

Session delivered very well. Instructor had extensive knowledge of the industry and used it in multiple examples to explain and clarify the content. Top marks for delivery, however Awarding Body needs to get their act together and update the course materials.

It was fine but wasn't really the course we needed to do.

The course wasn’t relevant for our job role. I think there needed to be more explanation around the workbook exercises to understand what you are doing or what you are getting out of the exercise. I think there should be a half way reminder during the test as people ran out of time

Pointless writing notes as not aloud to use them in test when it would be very beneficial. Other then that it was alright
