Well delivered with most aspects relevant to my role.

Geraint was a brilliant trainer with an excellent ability to use case studies as examples to bring the learning to life - this really helped to understand and digest the information. Geraint was also really good at making the course relevant to our roles i.e. talking a lot about civil cases or things we might come across in our roles. This was really helpful.

The trainer delivered the course in an engaging and informative manner, applying her own experience to the course materials and expanded on those provided. This allowed the group to build up a rapport with the trainer and listen to real life examples in which the information we were being taught and discussing could be applied. At times, the material in the course hand book was a little difficult to follow in regard to its application to my specific role/area of work due to the focus on criminal law and proceedings when it is very rare we would need to go to court. Areas that did feel useful were discussions about collecting evidence and the evidence that is needed to present a solid case. Despite not all areas of the course applying to my role, I found all the information interesting and fascinating to learn about.

Really useful course for my role, the only negative comment I have was when we were split into groups that some groups member didn't participate or even speak which I found frustrating. This is no reflection on the trainer or the course. Throughout the 2 days, I felt there were a number of delegates that engaged in the course with comments and questions whilst others sat back.
