Fantastic course, Carol is an excellent trainer. Her pace of deliver is fantastic and she is so knowledgeable. Having access to all those resources after the course is brilliant also.
The training was helpful and informative with a good mix of teaching and practice.
I was very impressed with the way the course is organised - every part is well set up and explained before the opportunity is given to have a go yourself, and I appreciated then having immediate feedback, before talking through the anomalies the next day. I felt more confident as we progressed through the course. It also really helped that I could manage the course around my childcare. My only suggestion would be that an idea of the course structure is sent out to participants well in advance so they are aware of what their childcare needs will be. Thank you to both of you, Carol and Gary!
The course was very well delivered, there is a mixture of teaching, discussion and practical activities which help with consolidating it all. The material is delivered in an accessible way to newbies. I feel confident to administer the ADOS and ADI following this training, resources available for 6 months.
Overall, this course was excellent. I have learnt so much in 5 days and am aware my time management will improve with practice.
Overall, I enjoyed the course and found it very useful to participate alongside professionals from different disciplines. The review of the scoring process, along with discussions on the rationale behind each score, was particularly helpful. Identifying common mistakes practitioners might make in scoring allowed for more time to receive feedback and debrief on others’ experiences and understanding of the ADOS and ADR assessments.
Good delivery at a pace that was understandable, non-judgemental around mistakes made. Fact that Carol was able to highlight and recognise her own deficits was helpful.
