Practical, real-world delivery is the course’s clearest strength: attendees value the balance of hands-on activities and theory, relatable scenarios, demonstrations and anecdotes that make first-aid guidance memorable. They describe knowledgeable, approachable trainers who explain clearly, welcome questions and adapt content to workplace needs. The sessions are generally engaging, well paced and confidence-building, with useful refreshers on updates and equipment. Through training from experienced professional. Some slightly off colour jokes, which were a bit off putting! Otherwise excellent.

Lots of very useful information to take away. I’m a bit squeamish so I didn’t love all of the stories, but I’m sure they’ll make all the information stick

Many of us on the course had completed similar courses before and so it was nice that the trainer spent more time looking at specific scenarios than spending time going back over material we were already very familiar with.

It was very slow starting as there was a technical issue however the trainer was extremely flexible and knowledgeable and delivered the full day without her usual resources which I think was impressive. I do think the course could be condensed into a shorter time frame with quicker progression onto the practical elements.

Could be more interactive and more recapping/plenaries, e.g. what does SAMPLE stand for? What does SCALD stand for? And if it could be condensed in any way then it should be.

The trainer was great, he had amazing knowledge but we had to sit listening for hours, it was extremely difficult to concentrate for 6 hours solid
