Yes. Through ongoing learning, training, and practical experience, I have developed a better understanding of autism and learning disabilities. This has improved my ability to provide person-centred, safe, compassionate, and informed support. I am more aware of the importance of effective communication, respecting individual preferences, promoting independence, recognising sensory and emotional needs, and making reasonable adjustments to support each person’s wellbeing. I continue to build my knowledge and reflect on my practice to ensure I provide care that is respectful, inclusive, and tailored to the individual’s needs.
