We have two staff members enrolled in the ILM Level 5 Management course and both find the experience tedious. The delivery seems to consist of slides being read to them by a tutor who is not fully in view. The masterclasses could be presented better as they do not seem well managed or particularly interesting/engaging. The delivery actually contradicts the successful presentation methods suggested by the content. There was no initial introduction to the other learners on the call. Until the most recent masterclass no-one had communicated with each other and had no idea of anyone else's professional roles. Whilst virtual courses can be great, they can leave learners feeling isolated without sufficient interaction. Perhaps a group chat could be considered to allow learners to bounce ideas off each other between sessions. To provide balanced feedback, submitted assessments have been reviewed quickly and constructive feedback was provided. Email responses are quick too which is helpful. The content sent after each session consists of that session's slides. These slides can be used to draft the assessment which is fine. While the links within them may be useful, it might be beneficial to review them during the session. Also, the masterclass should clarify what is expected for the assessment to pass.
