I think the way the course is delivered is great and the tutor is very enthusiastic but I do think some of the things we are going over are either very basic or they are things that we can't really control. I hope that what we are learning does come into our job role and we can practically apply it.
Even though the ladies were lovely, I just feel like there was a lot of time wasted. I feel like I learnt more when I spoke to one of the guys in the breakout room. We spent roughly 10 mins watching a film, 5 mins on a break, 15 mins in breakout room, 10 mins talking about what we want to learn. This is overall 40 mins out of a two hour and 30 min sessions not learning. The girls even said "we dont have time today to teach you about..." and I feel like we could have if we just got on with the session. When they showed us the Conflict escalation model, they used the example of a couple getting into a fight, why not use the example of an employee and customers getting into a disagreement? I feel like it could have been more to the point. Thank you for having us and I think some of the information was valuable but it could have been summarised quicker and meant a lot more information shared. Maybe skip the irrelevant Disney video too.
Non of the workbooks are in order. Many questions in the workbooks have not been covered by the Zoom sessions. I checked with the other learners on my course for help and all agreed this wasn't covered. Most things covered in this course is taught to us via great training or I have already covered in my level 3 NVQ, Although it is good to refresh your memory we are already trained by Sodexo.
