Police Courtroom Skills Training - Witness Familiarisation Reviews

I was completely destroyed, but I have learned a lot and there is so much to reflect upon. I did not know how to handle when sensitive information would be raised. I would suggest that some of us have no experience in court, and that we do not know how to even answer simple questions, or the majority of court etiquette - this makes the exercise doubly hard.

The classroom delivery was very engaging and helpful

It is unlikely I will be called to court to give evidence however this course has been very helpful and familiarised me with various procedures related to witness statements and evidence.

I found this skills day to be very useful for my role as I am relatively new to the police force and have not attended court as of yet. So being able to have this knowledge before attending has helped build my confidence for when I am required in court. I feel that as a student, I would of benefited from this day, earlier on in my course.

He was really engaging and made the course interesting. I liked that he didn't use a powerpoint to deliver the course.
