Great to have the course in welsh. Activities broke the session up well. Regular breaks also helpful. Bethan's delivery was very good.

The course was really engaging and I found it had the perfect balance of presentations, group discussion and smaller group work. I learned a lot and feel I could confidently apply mental health first aid in both a personal and professional capacity. Both intstructors were engaging and created a safe and welcoming space for the group.

Very well presented course. Bethan allowed us to engage but ensured that those affected by the subjects had time to process. Can highly recommend Bethan.

Really well delivered with pace content and accessibility/awareness of people’s needs etc The suicide prevention was unlike any other training/education ive received around this subject and was really well consolidated and confidence with how to handle by the discussions videos and role plays The Algee method was really well consolidated to the point it became natural and flow-ing by using it so many times in all the situations/specific mental health issues There was some discussion on autism/ld awareness. I believe the institute could put together and deliver a brilliant separate course on that as putting it into the mental health first aid would dilute and be a dis service to what is covered effectively in this course- there could be an integration/mention of autism/ld as those with autism/ld have higher co morbidity for these mental health aspects but I think in the mental health first aid course it wouldn’t have to go further into autism/ld than that to be honest except maybe touch on/awareness of communication/language difference for these scenarios (although that is covered well also in eg the psychosis component when emphasising using simple and short sentences etc) Anyway, thank you A good confidence builder and refresher with new things learnt also and a safe and nourishing environment created by Tristan’s personality/delivery Two thumbs up
