I came into the session feeling nervous about my excel skills. I have finished the course feeling better but I would say it would be great if the sessions could cater more to visual learners. I often missed things the teacher was saying and fell behind in excersizes. I find when it comes to complex systems it's best to show someone on a screen step by step how to do something. I also felt slightly discouraged by the teacher at the midway point as he asked me if I was finding it difficult would I want to continue the course. I know he was trying to be sympathetic but I found the later half of the day easy to understand. If I'd left at lunchtime I would have missed out on learning more in the afternoon! Really nice guy though and I get where he was coming from.

This Excel training has really built my confidence in using the program. The new approach is excellent and the various tools and shortcuts make using Excel far more streamlined and user friendly. Going through the process step by step was a very effective way of teaching and was ideal for this particular subject matter.
I like that learning will continue. The small group really worked well, having the opportunity to apply skills to real examples and use learning to problem solve actual work challenges was very beneficical.
A great in sight into a very broad topic my only request will be to have notes or guidelines to take away summarising the days curriculum
