The course was well structured, informative with the right mix of theoretical and practical work throughout. The lecturers were engaging, interesting, experienced and knowledgeable and made the weeks course a pleasure. They worked excellently together and kept the class engaged with their life experiences which were topical, educational and often very funny! All too often courses such a this can be made dry, stale and uninteresting but this was not the case and I looked forward to each day! The Faraday Centre made a excellent training facility with spacious Seminar Rooms, refreshments throughout the day, together with personalised good quality lunch. There was a vast array of High Voltage Switchgear which we could operate, of which, some candidates, like myself had not worked or seen before. The lecturers demonstrated/explained the operation of the switchgear with clarity such that operation, during the examination, was straightforward. Thank you Russ and Eddie for making the training so enjoyable yet engaging.

A fantastic course, very professional lecturers with the ability to lighten things up when needed, amazing facility, can't wait to come back for the transformer and protection courses!

Very concise and informative with good practical exercises.

Everything was good on the course, only issue was with the stay and food at the faraday centre. I had sent a food requirement form a week earlier but the food I got was totally different to what I had ordered. Stay Holiday inn need to be improved as the food quality and surrounding disturbances is bit annoying.

Very experience lectures, creating good and relaxed atmosphere to learn and practice your knowledge. The venue has a lot of LV/HV equipment to practice. Big thank you to Andy and Russ.

Marked materials down as personal preference would have been to have a paper copy of the course notes for easier future reference.

The course explained well about safety, how to perform switching operations , issuing permit works in a safe manner. The course also gave an overview of the protection systems used in a power system. Moreover, All modules taught was included by practical training which helped me to experience with real world experience. The tutors are extremely experienced and I am happy to get trained under them
