AI summary of reviews

Its distinctive strength is the way experienced, approachable tutors turn complex protection principles, equations and relay settings into understandable, real-world learning. Attendees value the balanced theory, calculations, practical testing and fault-finding on varied switchgear and relays, supported by clear explanations, discussion, comprehensive notes and a well-equipped facility. They say the course builds confidence and provides useful knowledge for workplace application, although the volume of material can make the pace feel intense.

A bit too much theory, maybe a bit more practical

The tutor Andy was great , he had lots of industry experience to draw on to make the course as relevant as possible. The biggest problem with studying at the Faraday Centre is the temperature. It is at times uncomfortably cold and thus something really does need to be done regarding the heating. Lastly it seems the standard of food has decreased since I last studied here with no biscuits for breaks, a lesser choice of hot drinks for the machine and smaller meal sizes.

the course was very informative, though a few more real life examples would aid understanding on how to approach fault level calculations and protection

The information available in the course notes was quite comprehensive with a lot of useful information. However I feel that a lot time at the start of the course was waisted on basic LV items and protective devices. The more relevant topics towards the end of the course were then skimmed over where I feel more time could have been spent.

Review of some of the contents off notes as a couple of minor errors.
